Mid to Senior Level

Based in Istanbul, Turkey 

Job Description

We are seeking a Business Development Manager with minimum five years of experience in telecommunications industry with technical background. He/she will be responsible for account management and business development activities in assigned accounts in Turkey and in other countries. He/she will manage relationships with current customers and prospects and improve relationship with decision makers and influencers at telecom operators to close commercial negotiations.


Taking responsibility for building a strong pipeline, he/she will generate new business relationships for the company utilizing he/her expert sales skills to deliver industry recognition and profitable revenue growth.  Location is in Istanbul, and he/she will frequently visit current customers and prospects in Turkey and abroad.


Main Responsibilities

  • Find and create sales opportunities and turn them into Purchase Order

  • Receive business and technical requirements of customer, prepare commercial proposal and coordinate with technical team to prepare technical solution for proposals

  • Communicate with current customers and prospects regularly to find out customers’ needs and possible collaboration fields

  • Maintain and improve good relationship with customers

  • Lead commercial and technical negotiations with respective influencers and decision makers for customer contracts

  • Plan business development strategies for existing customer base and leads

  • Work towards agreed on sales and business development performance and KPI goals

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Fluency in Turkish and English, oral and written, required.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Telecommunications industry especially in Mobile, VAS, IVR, Messaging, IN, and OSS/BSS fields

  • Account management and business development experience is required

  • Technical background is an advantage

  • Results-driven personality, with energy, commitment and a strong drive to succeed

  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize workloads whilst maintaining attention to detail and meeting agreed deadlines

  • High level of self-confidence, self-motivation and engagement

  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills

  • Proactive and creative in developing solutions with a high-level understanding of technical requirements of mobile operators

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Experience of analyzing data to produce meaningful reporting

  • Open minded and goal-oriented team Player

  • MS proficiency (MS Power Point, Excel, Word)

  • University Degree

  • No restriction to travel
