Telco Product Manager

Job Description

As an ideal candidate, you will have a keen eye for gaps in consumer product offerings and the innovative mindset to fill them.



  • Drive the product and business-planning process across cross-functional teams of the company

  • Analyze consumer needs, current market trends

  • Assess current competitor offerings, seeking opportunities for differentiation

  • Analyze product requirements and develop appropriate programs to ensure they’re successful achieved

  • Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple departments

  • Appraise new product ideas and strategize appropriate to-market plans


Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Drive the execution of all product lifecycle processes for products, including product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development, testing, and product launch

  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development by engineering teams

  • Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements.

  • Design, and translate business requirements into a form that includes low-level process flows of microservices.

  • Collaborate closely with development, marketing, and sales teams on the development, QA, and release of products and balance of resources to ensure success for the entire organization

  • Managing the projects that include the candidate’s product portfolio.

  • Respond to RFx's and update product strategy according to the information gathered from RFx's.

  • Actively engage in the testing of the developed modules.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Telco Engineering

  • Strong analytical skills 

  • Strong experience in the Telecommunication industry (IVR, Mass Notification, Messaging, Roaming etc.)

  • Having past programming experience is preferable

  • Familiarity with telco standards and protocols (SIP, RTP, SIGTRAN, Diameter, SMPP, SS7, ISUP etc.)

  • Familiarity with Apache Kafka and Elasticsearch

  • Familiarity with Cloud Native Architecture and Containerization

  • Strong experience in a dynamic product management role

  • Proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle

  • Highly effective cross-functional team management

  • Exceptional writing and editing skills combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills
